Use the Chaos Trial activity when your goal is a higher Chaos Level. A successful trial advances difficulty; a regular or Featured run can still earn loot, but does not substitute for the level-raising trial.
Before you go Finish the main story and epilogue, then unlock the Chaos Chamber. Have a build and equipment suitable for the current trial difficulty. Be ready to complete the full run, including its final boss. Open the Chaos Chamber activity menu and select Chaos Trial. Check that the selected trial is the level-advancing mode before launching. Clear each randomized encounter room and follow the portals to continue. Complete optional objectives only when they fit your build and do not put the run at risk. Defeat the trial’s final boss to finish the activity. After success, check the updated Chaos Level and select the next available trial when ready. Farming tips Treat survival as part of progression: a completed trial is more useful than a risky run with optional rewards. If a trial becomes a wall, improve your build in a standard Chamber run, then return to the trial. Repeat, collect and use Repeat the currently available Chaos Trial to advance through Chaos Levels; this is an ongoing endgame progression activity.
Common mistakes Choosing Featured Run for level progression: return to the menu and pick Chaos Trial. Leaving before the final boss: the trial is incomplete until the full run is cleared. Taking every optional risk automatically: choose objectives and modifiers that your build can handle. When to stop or switch Stop when you have reached the Chaos Level you want for now, or switch to a standard Chamber run if you need gear before attempting the next trial.
