Farm Chaos-tier gear through Chaos Trials

Trials combine randomized combat, a final boss and rising Chaos difficulty to support ongoing Chaos-tier equipment farming.

PC / Global, base game and released DLC
WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Chaos Chamber in Queen Butt Stallion’s castle, Brighthoof; select Chaos Trial from the activity menu.

Use Chaos Trials to progress difficulty while earning loot along the way. Higher Chaos Levels improve access to stronger Chaos-tier equipment, but a particular item or roll is never guaranteed by completing a trial.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Complete the campaign and unlock the Chaos Chamber.
  • Bring a damage setup and survivability suitable for your current trial.
  • Leave enough inventory space to inspect drops and end-of-run rewards.
  1. Choose Chaos Trial and confirm the displayed difficulty before starting.
  2. Clear the first randomized rooms, collecting useful drops and completing safe side objectives.
  3. At the halfway mini-boss, focus on finishing the encounter rather than chasing optional rewards.
  4. Continue through the remaining rooms and defeat the final boss.
  5. Use the Loot of Chaos room to spend remaining Rainbow Crystals on the gear category you want.
  6. Compare new items with your current build and equip only genuine upgrades.
  7. If the trial advanced your Chaos Level, decide whether to tackle the next trial or farm at the new setting.

Farming tips

  • A Loot Bunny narrows rewards to an item category; it does not promise a named drop or a useful roll.
  • Take manageable curses and Crystal-focused portals when you want a larger end-room budget.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat trials and subsequent Chaos Chamber runs as desired; gear drops are randomized and there is no guaranteed item count or specific result.

Common mistakes

  • Expecting a specific piece from a trial boss: use category-targeted Bunny spending for a broader pool focus.
  • Confusing trial progression with Featured Runs: only Chaos Trials are the level-raising route.
  • Spending all Crystals on an unwanted category: choose the Bunny that matches the slot you are actually improving.

When to stop or switch

Switch to a standard run or stop raising difficulty if the current trial is too slow or risky for your build.
