Before you go
- Complete the campaign and unlock Mapworks.
- Have enough gold to purchase a map.
- Know your character’s current level and which enemy difficulty is manageable.
Farming steps
- Open the Mapworks vendor and review the scrolls available for purchase.
- Compare each scroll’s level with your character’s current progression.
- Read the listed monster set and choose enemies your build can handle or wants to encounter.
- Purchase the selected scroll and enter its portal.
- Clear the floors, collect useful drops, and defeat the final boss if the run stays safe.
- After the run, reassess whether the map level and enemy set still suit your goal before buying again.
- Favor a map close to your current progression rather than assuming the highest displayed level is best.
- Monster-family selection informs the encounter route; do not infer a guaranteed drop table from it.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat with new scroll purchases. Each map is its own level and monster set, and the available selection can change.
Common mistakes
- Choosing only by enemy name and ignoring map level; verify both before paying.
- Assuming a chosen enemy family guarantees a specific item; drops remain random.
- Continuing an under-levelled map after your character advances; replace the scroll when it stops helping.
When to stop or switch
