Run Sundered Battlefield’s Avoid the Lava challenge
Turn the Sundered Battlefield Avoid the Lava challenge into a chest-focused Phase Beast activity when that portal appears.
WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Run Sundered Battlefield’s Avoid the Lava challenge
Sundered Battlefield Phase Beast portal when Avoid the Lava is selected.
Before you go
- Reach Sundered Battlefield and locate a Phase Beast.
- Receive the Avoid the Lava portal from its challenge pool.
- Have enough health and movement control to navigate the hazard.
Farming steps
- Defeat the Phase Beast and enter the portal.
- Observe the lava hazard and identify a safe path before crossing the challenge area.
- Move along the safe route while avoiding unnecessary exposure to the hazard.
- Deal with enemies that block access without losing track of the safe ground.
- Search the accessible route for chests and open them before leaving.
- Collect useful drops, then exit and return to the overworld.
- The challenge is chest-focused, so check the route and side areas you can safely reach.
- Do not assume every Sundered Battlefield beast opens Avoid the Lava; its challenge draw varies.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat when another Phase Beast opens this challenge. Portal selection and chest contents are random.
Common mistakes
- Rushing into lava while pursuing a chest; take a safe route and leave inaccessible loot.
- Leaving without opening chests; inspect areas you can reach safely.
- Assuming a particular unique or gold amount is guaranteed; evaluate the actual drops.
When to stop or switch
Finish once accessible chests are collected; leave early if the hazard makes the remaining route too dangerous for your character.
