Keep a supply of the exact Timemark 7 beacons needed to open more maps, using map drops and the Trader as separate replenishment sources.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Timemark 7 Netherrealm stages for map drops; the Trader interface for Timemark 1–7 beacons purchased with Netherrealm Resonance.
Beacons are map-entry items, so this is an access-sustain route rather than a Plane Watcher reward guide. Beacons can drop in Netherrealm stages, and stages generally supply beacons for their current and next Timemark. Timemark 7 is a special case: its stages drop Timemark 7 beacons, not Timemark 8. The Trader also sells Timemark 1–7 beacons for Netherrealm Resonance. Use the map loop to replenish the tier you are actively running, then use the Trader only when your stock or map drops do not cover the next session. This avoids spending a TM7 supply while expecting it to unlock TM8 progression.
Have Netherrealm Resonance if using the Trader fallback.
Check your beacon inventory and identify the plane and Timemark required by the next map you intend to open.
Run a Timemark 7 Netherrealm stage and collect eligible beacon drops during the clear.
Before consuming another entry item, sort the resulting beacons by their displayed Timemark and plane.
Keep the Timemark 7 beacons that sustain your current route instead of assuming they advance to Timemark 8.
If map drops leave you short, open the Trader and compare its Timemark 1–7 beacon offer with your available Netherrealm Resonance.
Buy only the beacon type needed for the next planned map, then return to the Netherrealm device.
Track entry-item use and drops for several runs; continue only if the supply remains sustainable for your goal.
Farming tips
TM7 stages do not drop TM8 beacons; when you unlock TM8, plan for that tier’s separate beacon supply.
Use the in-game beacon display to confirm plane and Timemark before spending an entry item.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the map-and-inventory check while you have TM7 access; supplement from the Trader when the specific beacon is available and Resonance is worth spending.
Common mistakes
Expecting a TM7 map to supply TM8 beacons: the listed exception says TM7 drops only TM7 beacons.
Treating all beacons as interchangeable: different planes and Timemarks require different items.
Buying a broad stock from the Trader without checking the exact next map requirement.
When to stop or switch
Stop farming TM7 beacons when your planned TM7 session has enough entries or when your progression objective requires moving to a different Timemark.
