Before you go
- Unlock Tartarus Season 14 and its Follower system.
- Obtain a Letter of Introduction through the seasonal activity.
- Have a Netherrealm build whose damage or survivability needs are clear.
Farming steps
- Open the interrogation room and inspect whether a Letter of Introduction can be used.
- Recruit a Follower through the displayed interaction.
- Open the Follower record and inspect its rank and available skill capacity.
- Read each Tartarus Skill together with its attached Support Skills.
- Compare the complete package with your character’s damage type, critical setup, or survival bottleneck.
- Equip the most relevant available skill combination for the next mapping session.
- Run Netherrealm content and review whether the ally’s effect supports your build in practice.
- Higher Follower ranks allow more equipped skills, so revisit the setup when capacity changes.
- Treat the skill and its attached supports as a combined package; the skill name alone does not show its full effect.
Repeat, collect and use
Recruitment depends on obtaining Letters of Introduction; evaluating and changing equipped skills can be repeated as your roster grows.
Common mistakes
- Choosing by rank alone: read the active skill and supports together before equipping.
- Leaving an old setup after changing your build: reassess allied buffs, protection, and debuffs when your main mechanic changes.
When to stop or switch
Stop recruiting or adjusting once the available Follower skills support the current build; revisit after new letters, skills, or rank capacity arrive.
