Before you go
- Access to farm plots and a Hoe.
- Coins for season-appropriate seed packets from Rhia.
- Watering Can and kitchen or storage space for the harvest.
Farming steps
- Check the current season and the dish recipes you expect to make; identify a vegetable that is both in season and useful.
- Visit Rhia in Rilia and inspect her seed packets. Buy only packets for crops that can grow in the current season.
- Choose open farm soil near your routine farm path. Hoe the ground into a compact patch that is easy to water and harvest.
- Plant the vegetable seeds on the prepared tiles, following the in-game planting interaction.
- Water dry planted tiles with the Watering Can. Rain can keep soil moist through the following day, so inspect before spending time watering.
- Watch the crop until it is ready, then harvest it with the appropriate tool shown by the game.
- Carry vegetables to kitchen storage and use them in matching recipes; keep a small reserve for planned dishes.
- Group vegetables with similar seasonal needs so a single field pass covers them.
- Use rain as a cue to work on another farm task, then check soil again the next day.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the seed purchase, planting, care and harvest cycle whenever the crop is in season. These are recurring farm crops, but availability and season suitability vary; no particular crop should be treated as year-round.
Common mistakes
- Planting without checking the season can waste seed when the crop cannot grow; verify the season first.
- Planting more than the menu can use creates excess; size the patch to likely kitchen demand.
- Assuming rain keeps soil moist indefinitely can leave crops dry; check again after the following day.
When to stop or switch
Stop expanding the patch when storage holds enough for the dishes you plan to serve, or switch to a crop that matches the next season’s menu.
