Where to farm
Complete Lost Soul defense encounters reached through the Shadow’s Eve questline in Adventure Worlds; redeem Essence at Fiona Catastra or the Shadowy Station.
Chaos Essence comes from defeating Chaos Creatures during the Shadow’s Eve Lost Soul defense loop. First help a spirit recover its unfinished business, then craft Soul Gear so that it can join the fight. Essence is a limited-time event currency: Fiona Catastra carries the new rewards, while the Shadowy Station is the place to check returning Shadow’s Eve collectibles. Compare the current vendor costs with your balance before committing currency.
Soul Gear crafted and equipped for the spirit before its defense stage.
Inventory space for event currency and rewards.
Advance the Lost Soul quest until the spirit’s unfinished-business task is complete.
Gather the requested event crafting materials from the quest and Adventure World enemies.
Craft Soul Gear and equip the Lost Soul as prompted.
Enter the defense encounter and help defeat the Chaos Creatures.
Collect the Chaos Essence awarded by the encounter.
Return to the Hub and check Fiona Catastra for new collectibles or the Shadowy Station for older event items.
Spend only after checking the item’s current price and confirming it is the reward you want.
Farming tips
Use the two vendors to distinguish current event additions from returning collectibles.
The vendor’s live price is more useful than remembered costs from a past event.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat available Lost Soul defense encounters while the event is active and you want more Essence. This farm ends with the event; it is not a permanent currency route.
Common mistakes
Trying to farm Essence before arming a spirit: complete recovery and equip Soul Gear first.
Buying from the wrong vendor: check Fiona for new event items and Shadowy Station for returning ones.
Assuming every encounter guarantees a particular collectible: Essence is currency, and vendor stock and prices should be checked in game.
When to stop or switch
Stop when you can afford your chosen event rewards or the event ends; switch back to recovery quests if the tracker still has an uncompleted Lost Soul.
