Before you go
- Atlas access to Geode Topside.
- Meet the displayed Power Rank and Light requirements for the selected world.
- Combat build able to defeat that world’s dungeon boss.
- Inventory space for gem boxes and comparison items.
Farming steps
- Check the Topside Uber requirements and enter the highest tier you can complete reliably.
- Explore a sub-biome for a dungeon with a boss encounter.
- Activate the dungeon encounter by finding its Dark Heart when applicable.
- Defeat the boss and collect the reward chest.
- Check whether the chest awarded a Cosmic Gem Box; do not assume each boss will.
- Open any box and compare the gem against your current Cosmic Gem setup.
- Repeat boss dungeons while the box remains your progression target.
- Topside bosses are the box target; routine dungeon clears are a better fit when you want Crystal gear chances.
- The Topside areas share dungeon and monster sets, so choose terrain you can navigate comfortably.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeatable chance-based farm. Bosses may award boxes, but no box is guaranteed per encounter.
Common mistakes
- Counting any dungeon completion as a guaranteed box: finish boss encounters and treat boxes as a chance.
- Entering a tier above your requirements: verify both Power Rank and Light before travel.
- Equipping a box result automatically: compare its stats and fit with your current gem build.
When to stop or switch
Stop when you obtain a useful upgrade or your current boss tier becomes inefficient; switch to accessible dungeons or gear progression if clears stall.
