Open the Abyss route to its later seal and Je-Ne-Viv encounter.

Where to farm

Abyss Foscari: the red Seal of the Abyss is in the southwest lower path; the blue Seal of the Banished appears after the first seal breaks.

The red Seal of the Abyss and blue Seal of the Banished are character-specific objectives. Maruto Cuts needs evolved Legionnaire to break the red seal. Once that clears the darkness, Eleanor Uziron needs SpellStrom to break the blue seal and open the Je-Ne-Viv route. Abyss Foscari is part of Tides of the Foscari, and both seal breaks are one-time progression milestones. Plan separate runs around the required character and weapon for each seal.

How to farm

Before you go

Own Tides of the Foscari and unlock Abyss Foscari by breaking Lake Foscari’s Seal of the Lake with Keitha Muort and Millionaire.
Unlock Maruto Cuts and Eleanor Uziron.
Evolve Maruto’s base weapon into Legionnaire for the red seal.
Unite Eleanor’s weapons into SpellStrom for the blue seal.

Start Abyss Foscari as Maruto Cuts and evolve his base weapon into Legionnaire.
Use the map to find the red Seal of the Abyss in the southwest lower path.
Attack the red seal until it breaks and the darkness recedes.
Start another Abyss Foscari run as Eleanor Uziron.
Develop and unite Eleanor’s weapons into SpellStrom.
Follow the newly accessible route to the blue Seal of the Banished near the Empty Tome area.
Break the blue seal, then continue along the revealed route toward Je-Ne-Viv if that is your next goal.

Farming tips

Use the required character and weapon form for each seal; do not plan to break both with one character.
Check the map after the red seal breaks, because the blue-seal area only opens then.

Repeat, collect and use

Both seal breaks are one-time progression milestones. Repeat the relevant run only if a seal did not break or the unlock failed to register.

Common mistakes

Taking Maruto to the blue seal: use Eleanor with SpellStrom there.
Reaching the red seal before evolving Legionnaire: finish the evolution first.
Trying to reach the blue seal at the start: break the red seal to clear the darkness.

When to stop or switch

Stop after both seals break if that completes your goal, or continue toward Je-Ne-Viv for the boss and Hyper unlock.
