Unlock a Tides of the Foscari character who gains experience from coin pickups.

Where to farm

Lake Foscari, in the western area by Little Clover or northeast beyond the forest maze.

Sammy is a DLC character unlocked by defeating 6,000 Sammy the Caterpillars. Two Lake Foscari areas are especially useful for reaching that total: west of spawn near the Little Clover patch, and northeast beyond the forest maze. The defeat count accumulates across runs, so you can work toward the requirement over multiple visits. After it registers, Sammy still has to be purchased with gold at character selection.

How to farm

Before you go

Own Tides of the Foscari.
Unlock Lake Foscari by reaching level 20 in Mad Forest.
Bring a weapon setup that can defeat caterpillars while keeping you alive.
Have gold ready to purchase Sammy after the unlock.

Start a Lake Foscari run and open the stage map to orient yourself.
Travel west from spawn to the Little Clover area, or use the forest maze’s northern entrance to reach the northeast area.
Stay near one of these locations and defeat Sammy the Caterpillars as they appear.
Collect nearby experience and drops when safe, while keeping attacks focused on the target enemies.
End the run when needed and check the unlock progress rather than assuming one visit is enough.
Repeat visits to either area until the defeat total reaches 6,000.
Return to character selection, purchase Sammy, and confirm he is available for later runs.

Farming tips

The western Little Clover area is a practical first target; progress carries over between runs.
The caterpillars move horizontally, so position in their path instead of chasing them across the stage.

Repeat, collect and use

This is a limited cumulative unlock farm. Repeat visits until the 6,000-defeat requirement registers, then stop.

Common mistakes

Searching the entire stage without a target: use the western or northeast area.
Expecting one visit to complete the counter: defeats accumulate across runs.
Forgetting the DLC requirement: Tides of the Foscari is needed to unlock Sammy.

When to stop or switch

Stop when the unlock registers; switch to purchasing Sammy or another progression goal.
