Big Trouser Golden Egg farm
A stage with accessible light sources and manageable enemies. A Merchant can be used once during a standard run; Eggman in Moongolow offers bulk egg purchases when available.
Before you go
- Unlock Big Trouser by mastering all 16 standard accessories in Moongolow and leaving the run alive.
- Unlock Disco of Gold by reaching minute 31 in Inlaid Library.
- Bring a build that can keep Trouser alive while collecting drops.
- Have gold to spend and access to a Merchant.
Farming steps
- Select Big Trouser and use Candybox to choose a base weapon suited to the stage.
- Choose Disco of Gold at the start or from an Arcana chest if offered.
- Build enough attack coverage and defense to move safely through the stage.
- Break light sources as you pass and collect Coin Bags when safe to trigger Gold Fever.
- Gather gold pickups during Fever; they also heal and extend the effect.
- When you have enough gold, find and touch a Merchant before the run ends. Check that Trouser is active, then purchase Golden Eggs.
- Finish the run to apply the egg stat increases, then review the result before planning another run.
- Keep collecting experience so Trouser can level and gain Greed; avoid sacrificing survival to chase drops.
- Track your own results across runs, since pickups and stage conditions vary.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the run and purchase cycle as often as useful. A regular Merchant is available once per run; Eggman supports bulk purchases when unlocked. Egg effects apply after the run ends.
Common mistakes
- Trying to buy eggs after a run: interact with the Merchant before ending it.
- Buying for the wrong character: verify Trouser is active, because eggs apply to the current character.
- Expecting Candybox or Disco of Gold to guarantee income: adapt the weapon and route to the stage.
When to stop or switch
Stop collecting once the planned purchase is affordable, then end the run to apply the eggs. Switch to a safer route if enemy pressure makes further pickups impractical.
