Before you go
- A constructed Garden Bed with a planted seed.
- Water supply for the bed.
- A Rofleemo Toilet producing compost; the Toilet requires chemicals.
Farming steps
- Unlock and build a Rofleemo Toilet when its research and materials are available.
- Supply the Toilet with chemicals as required and collect its compost output.
- Plant a regular or strange seed in an empty Garden Bed slot.
- Water the bed using the available Water Condenser output or other usable water.
- Apply compost to the planted bed before harvest.
- Wait until the crop is fully grown and collect the organics.
- Keep the returned seed and replant it for the next crop.
- Use compost on beds where seed loss would interrupt a crop you rely on.
- Keep regular and strange seeds sorted so composted planting stays aligned with the crop you need.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat for each crop while compost is available; the guaranteed seed return applies to a fully grown, composted harvest, not to seed creation from nothing.
Common mistakes
- Harvesting before the crop is fully grown; complete the visible growth cycle.
- Expecting compost without operating the Toilet; supply its stated chemical input.
- Assuming compost replaces water; keep watering the bed as it grows.
When to stop or switch
Switch to gathering chemicals or producing more compost when the current supply no longer covers planned bed harvests.
