Before you go
- Unlock Everest on Earth.
- Bring a loadout that can protect the Excavator from attackers.
- Be ready to collect and deliver Power Cells from Power Carriers.
Farming steps
- Enter Everest and travel to the marked dig site.
- Activate the Excavator when you reach it.
- Defeat Power Carriers and pick up the Power Cells they drop.
- Carry cells to the Excavator to keep it powered.
- Defend the machine from enemies until the dig completes.
- Confirm the completed dig and its Cryotic reward.
- Move to another marked dig and repeat, or extract when allowed.
- Use 100 Cryotic per completed normal Excavator to estimate how many digs your crafting target requires.
- Choose a difficulty where you can reliably defend the machine; a lost Excavator reduces progress.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat digs as needed; each completed normal Excavator is a repeatable 100-Cryotic unit.
Common mistakes
- Leaving the Excavator unpowered; gather and deliver cells as they drop.
- Allowing the device to be destroyed; prioritize its defense to avoid reduced progress.
- Assuming a partial or failed dig awards the full amount; finish the objective to receive the full completed-dig reward.
When to stop or switch
Stop after enough completed digs to cover the Foundry recipe, then extract when available.
