Where to farm
Missions carrying the Hunted condition during the Arcane Ruin event.
Gormaggoth may appear during Hunted-condition missions while Arcane Ruin is active. Slaying lesser Daemonhosts increases the chance of the named host appearing, but the game does not promise a spawn after any fixed number of kills. If Gormaggoth appears, damage it to contribute to the shared community tracker. Treat the encounter as a variable opportunity during a regular mission, not a predictable boss route.
Bring a strike team prepared to decide together whether to fight Daemonhosts.
Check the event tracker to see whether community progress or your personal milestones still matter to you.
Choose a Hunted-condition mission on the mission board.
Advance together and watch for lesser Daemonhosts during the mission.
Before engaging a lesser host, agree on a plan and make sure the group can handle the fight.
Defeat lesser hosts the team chooses to engage; each kill increases Gormaggoth’s chance to appear, without guaranteeing it.
If Gormaggoth appears, deal damage if the team can do so safely; damage advances the community tracker.
Finish the mission and check the tracker for progress.
Farming tips
Keep the team together around a host instead of splitting up to pursue an uncertain encounter.
Check the tracker to distinguish personal event milestones from shared community progress.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat Hunted missions and defeat lesser hosts when your group chooses to engage. The chance increase is not a guaranteed trigger. This activity is tied to Arcane Ruin; progress and rewards follow the event trackers.
Common mistakes
Expecting a set number of lesser hosts to summon Gormaggoth: each kill only raises the chance.
Assuming Gormaggoth appears in every run: continue the mission if it does not appear.
Attacking without team agreement: decide whether to engage before taking on a high-risk host.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the relevant community goal is complete, your personal event goals are met, or Arcane Ruin ends.
