Unlock the Limit Break system
At the Forge after story completion and acquisition of a Core Orb from a Volatile Kemono hunt.
Before you go
- Complete the main story.
- Unlock and complete a Volatile Kemono hunt successfully.
- Collect at least one Core Orb.
Farming steps
- Progress through the main story until completion.
- Open the Volatile hunt listings and select an available target.
- Complete the hunt successfully and collect its Core Orb reward.
- Visit the Forge and inspect the Limit Break options for weapons and armor.
- Check whether the Inherited Skill option is available after meeting both gates.
- Review the orb type and quantity listed for each desired enhancement.
- Select matching regional Volatile hunts if you need more materials.
- Story completion alone does not satisfy the documented Inherited Skill condition; you also need a first Core Orb.
- Use the Forge’s displayed costs to choose the region for your next Volatile hunt.
Repeat, collect and use
Unlocking is a one-time progression gate. Afterward, you can repeat Volatile hunts and spend materials on available enhancements as needed.
Common mistakes
- Expecting the system before story completion: finish the main story first.
- Expecting Inherited Skills after story alone: acquire a first Core Orb as well.
- Assuming one orb type covers all upgrades: inspect each item’s listed requirements.
When to stop or switch
Stop the unlock route when the relevant Forge options are available; continue only if you have a specific enhancement to pursue.
