- Use the in-game interaction available for small Kemono to obtain a Ferntail Gecko for housing.
- At a suitable location, open the Dragon Karakuri construction menu and place a Wildlife Cage if regional capacity allows.
- Use the cage’s available interaction to house the Ferntail Gecko.
- Continue exploring or hunting, then return to check the cage and collect any Spiral Fern it has produced.
- Review your inventory and use the Spiral Fern in the intended recipe.
- Verify the creature and material names in the Cyclopedia or inventory so you do not confuse Spiral Fern with another small-Kemono drop.
