A battlefield blacksmith or the Hidden Village at Mt. Tianzhushan.
Before you go
- Reach a blacksmith.
- Have Copper and the Steel or Leather material required by the chosen item.
- Have a weapon or armor piece selected for your current setup.
Farming steps
- Speak with the blacksmith at a battlefield or in the Hidden Village.
- Choose Upgrade from the blacksmith’s services.
- Select the weapon or armor piece you intend to improve.
- Review the displayed Copper and material costs before confirming.
- Confirm the upgrade and check the item’s new level and power.
- Repeat for other chosen gear only while the cost fits your available materials.
- Upgrade the equipment you actually use; frequent replacements can make broad upgrades expensive.
- Use Salvage to recover materials from unwanted gear, but inspect items before dismantling them.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeatable whenever you have sufficient Copper and required materials. Each upgrade spends resources; it does not generate materials.
Common mistakes
- Using Salvage when you intended to raise an item’s level: select Upgrade and verify the chosen action.
- Ignoring the cost panel: check both Copper and material before confirmation.
- Investing in every drop: focus on the loadout you expect to keep using.
When to stop or switch
Stop upgrading once the cost would leave too little material for a more important item or your current gear handles the mission comfortably.
