Farm a boss material from battlefield rewards
Blacksmith to identify the material, then the battlefield map and reward panel for the matching mission.
Before you go
- Unlock a blacksmith and the equipment upgrade you want to fund.
- Unlock a battlefield whose current reward panel lists the required material.
- Be able to complete that battlefield, including its boss if required for the reward.
Farming steps
- At the blacksmith, select the weapon or armor upgrade you intend to make and note the missing material.
- Open the battlefield map and inspect mission reward panels for that exact material.
- Choose the mission that lists it for your current playthrough cycle; do not infer it from a different mission’s boss.
- Enter the selected battlefield and progress through its route to the listed reward condition.
- Collect any materials dropped along the way and complete the mission to claim its reward.
- Return to the blacksmith, review your material count, and apply the intended upgrade if you can afford it.
- If you still need more, recheck the reward panel before beginning another run.
- Reward lists can vary across NG+ cycles; the in-game panel is the practical check before committing to a long clear.
- One mission may be more efficient for your skill level even if another is shorter; favor reliable clears over a difficult route.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeatable by replaying an unlocked battlefield, but the reward depends on its current panel and completion. Enemy drops are not guaranteed quantities.
Common mistakes
- Running a familiar boss mission without checking its reward list: confirm the exact material first.
- Assuming every cycle has the same payout: inspect the current battlefield panel.
- Farming before selecting an upgrade: identify the needed resource at the blacksmith to avoid stockpiling the wrong material.
When to stop or switch
Stop when you have the materials for the chosen improvement, or switch to another listed battlefield if the current clear is unreliable.
