Before you go
- Midnight Delves unlocked.
- Tier 4 or higher is reported as the range where Petrified Root can appear.
- A character able to complete the selected tier.
Farming steps
- Select Collegiate Calamity from the available Delves.
- Choose the highest tier you can reliably clear; do not choose a tier that prevents completion.
- Follow the Delve objectives and use the NPC allies who assist against bosses.
- Complete the Delve and open its end cache.
- Check the cache for Petrified Root and collect it if present.
- Re-enter at a suitable tier if you still need roots.
- NPC support helps make Collegiate Calamity manageable at higher tiers.
- The cache reward is uncertain; plan around repeated completions rather than a guaranteed yield.
Repeat, collect and use
The Delve can be repeated. Petrified Root is a chance reward; reported higher-tier yields are observations, not a promise for each clear.
Common mistakes
- Running below the reported tier range may miss the root chance; choose tier 4 or higher if you can clear it.
- Pushing a tier beyond your ability can slow or prevent completions; lower it to a reliable setting.
- Leaving without opening the end cache forfeits the chance to collect its contents; claim it before exiting.
