Weekly Profession Knowledge Checklist
Begin at the profession weekly quest in Silvermoon; continue through Patron Work Orders, the treatise, and profession-specific Midnight activities.
Before you go
- Midnight profession skill and the profession introduction.
- Materials or recipe access for available work orders.
- A matching Thalassian Treatise for the profession.
Farming steps
- Complete the profession introduction if the weekly quest is not visible.
- Visit the profession weekly quest in Silvermoon and complete its requested task.
- Review Patron Work Orders and select those that show a knowledge reward you can earn.
- Use the profession’s Thalassian Treatise when its weekly use is available.
- Gather or craft for profession-specific weekly drops and check profession treasure sources.
- Open the profession journal and spend points toward a specialization that fits your goal.
- Check the displayed reward before accepting a Patron order; not every order offers knowledge.
- Treatises have a weekly use limit, so buying extras does not provide extra weekly points.
Repeat, collect and use
Quest, treatise, and weekly drop sources reset or cap according to their in-game limits. Profession treasures are one-time per character and are not repeatable farms.
Common mistakes
- Assuming every Patron order grants knowledge wastes time; inspect its reward first.
- Buying multiple treatises to bypass the limit does not work; use the eligible weekly treatise once.
- Spending points without a goal can delay useful specialization unlocks; decide what you want to craft or gather first.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the weekly knowledge sources available to your profession are collected and spend the earned points before returning next reset.
