WHERE & HOW TO FARM Where to farm Sunlit Farm Plots at a player base in standard survival worlds.
Corn farming converts seeds into a renewable stock of crop ingredients. Use a sunlit Farm Plot and keep the plot intact through harvest. Standard PC worlds can vary in seed availability, so begin by finding, buying, or unlocking seed crafting rather than assuming a seed will be on hand.
Before you go Corn Seed from loot, trader purchase, or available seed crafting progression. A Farm Plot in a spot with sunlight. Storage space for harvested corn. Search containers or trader stock for a Corn Seed; craft one only if your reading progression permits it. Select a base location with sunlight reaching the intended plot. Place a Farm Plot and plant the Corn Seed in it. Leave the plot undisturbed as the plant grows. Return when the corn is fully grown and harvest it. Store the crop for recipes or other crafting needs, and preserve seed access for the next planting. Plant again when you have another seed and still need corn. Farming tips Keep plots grouped where you can inspect them during normal base visits. Living Off The Land can improve farm yield and sustainability as your progression allows. Repeat, collect and use Repeat each time you have a seed to plant and space in the plot; the farm is renewable but depends on maintaining seed access.
Common mistakes Planting without light: position the plot where sunlight reaches the crop. Harvesting too early: wait until the plant is fully grown before collecting. Removing the plot while planted: harvest first, because plot recovery costs the planted seed. When to stop or switch Pause new planting once your corn supply covers your intended recipes, or switch to seed acquisition when no seed remains for the next crop.
