Start with one plot and prove the full production chain before expanding: plant a seed, provide water, add fertilizer, and watch the plot progress through its growth stages. The crop display is the practical checkpoint for each input and stage. This method applies to ASA farming generally; specific seeds and crop uses depend on what you plant, so make the first plot a small test of the crop you actually want.

How to farm

Before you go

A crop plot and the seed for the crop you want to grow.
A working water supply for the plot.
Fertilizer and a place to collect the eventual harvest.

Place one crop plot where you can reach it to check inputs and collect output.
Put the intended seed into the plot.
Supply water through a working irrigation setup and confirm the plot registers water.
Add fertilizer and verify that it appears in the plot's status.
Inspect the crop display as it moves through its growth stages instead of assuming it is ready.
When the crop reaches a harvestable stage, collect its output and note which inputs need replenishing.
Use the harvest for its intended purpose and restore seed, water, and fertilizer as needed.

Farming tips

The plot's own status is the best check that seed, water, fertilizer, and growth are progressing.
Keep the first planting small until you know the selected seed's output is useful for your plans.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat the seed, input, growth, and harvest cycle as long as you can supply the plot. It is ongoing production, not a guaranteed yield per fixed time.

Common mistakes

Planting without confirming water: check irrigation on the plot before scaling.
Forgetting fertilizer: inspect the plot as it grows and replenish when needed.
Harvesting before the plot is ready: use the displayed crop stage to decide when collection is available.
