WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Silica Pearl locations marked on The Island resource map, including underwater areas and caves.

Silica Pearl gathering can mean a seabed trip or an accessible cave collection, depending on which marked location you select. Choose a cluster based on your equipment and a safe return, rather than treating all map markers as equally reachable. Bring the pearls home and store them for electronics or other recipes that call for them.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Water-breathing equipment or an aquatic tame for submerged clusters.
  • A light source, combat supplies, and suitable protection if choosing a cave.
  • Carry capacity and a planned return route.
  1. Open the Silica Pearls layer on The Island resource map and select one cluster for this trip.
  2. Decide whether it is an underwater or cave route and prepare for that environment before departing.
  3. Use landmarks and the in-game map to approach the site; recheck your position before entering water or a cave.
  4. Collect pearls from the seabed or marked cave location.
  5. Track your supplies, nearby threats, and carry weight while gathering.
  6. Exit by the route you chose and return to base without extending into a second hazardous area.
  7. Store the pearls for electronics and other planned crafting.

Farming tips

  • A mapped location is not an access assessment: plan for the underwater approach or cave interior separately.
  • For a first run, favor a site where you know how to get out over a marker that would require unfamiliar deep-water travel.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat a single-cluster collection and return as your crafting stock requires. The route is renewable gathering, not a fixed one-time cache.

Common mistakes

  • Entering deep water without breathing protection or an aquatic mount: bring the means to leave as well as arrive.
  • Combining an underwater route with a cave detour: keep the trip focused so supplies last for the exit.
  • Leaving pearls scattered between inventories: consolidate them at base for crafting.

When to stop or switch

Stop once you have the pearls needed for your next crafting goal, when your capacity is limited, or when the route's hazards threaten a safe exit.
