Ammonium is one of the Soil Centrifuge’s listed outputs, providing a base processing option when field collection is inconvenient.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
A powered base with a Soil Centrifuge and a safe surface route for collecting soil canisters.
Collect soil on a safe surface loop and convert it to Ammonium at the Soil Centrifuge. This is a targeted output guide: select Ammonium for the batch rather than treating the machine as a way to obtain several resources at once. Soil is the input, so the method trades a collection trip for a processing step and is repeatable only while you bring more soil.
Check that Ammonium is the material you need before gathering input.
Take the Terrain Tool along a safe surface path and collect soil into its canisters.
Return to base along the same route before moving beyond dependable oxygen coverage.
Load the soil canisters into the Soil Centrifuge.
Select Ammonium from the machine’s listed resource outputs.
Run the conversion with power connected.
Unload the Ammonium and store it near the next station or printer that needs the material.
Farming tips
Use the centrifuge as a gap filler when a direct deposit is inconvenient; do not assume this route is best for every resource.
Clear storage space before processing so the output can be collected cleanly.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the soil collection and conversion cycle whenever more Ammonium is required. Each batch consumes soil, so a new batch depends on another canister fill.
Common mistakes
Starting the batch with empty input canisters: collect and load soil first.
Leaving the centrifuge on a different output: verify that Ammonium is selected before running it.
Gathering more soil than storage can handle: plan the batch around the Ammonium amount you actually need.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the Ammonium stock covers your current recipe or build plan. Switch to another listed soil output only when your next goal requires a different material.
