WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
A powered Research Chamber at your base, supplied with research objects collected during exploration.
Use a Research Chamber to process research finds into Bytes, then decide whether the value justifies the item's transport and processing. Natural objects found while exploring and research items you bring to base belong in this progression loop, not in a crafting-ore stack. Keep the chamber powered and collect the Byte output before loading another find.
Storage or a plan for spending the generated Bytes.
Collect a research item or sample from a location you can safely return from.
Bring it to the base and separate it from ores and crafting materials.
Inspect the find in your inventory and decide whether it is worth the chamber slot and transport effort.
Place one research object in the Research Chamber.
Keep power connected while the chamber processes the item.
Collect the generated Bytes and record them toward a blueprint you want to unlock.
Remove the processed object if the chamber does not clear it automatically, then load another eligible find.
Farming tips
Prioritize finds that fit your current research plan instead of hauling every object you encounter.
Keep the chamber near a Bytes spending point or an organized research storage area.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat for each new research item or sample you collect. Each physical find is a limited input; the process continues only when you bring another one.
Common mistakes
Leaving an item in the chamber without power: connect the machine before expecting Byte production.
Confusing Bytes with a physical crafting resource: use them for research progression.
Transporting bulky finds without checking value or need: decide whether to carry the item before taking a long route.
When to stop or switch
Stop loading items when you have enough Bytes for the next blueprint or when the remaining finds are not worth the trip. Resume when a new unlock becomes a priority or you collect more research items.
