A safe surface route near a powered base with a Soil Centrifuge.
Before you go
- Terrain Tool with available soil canisters.
- Soil Centrifuge and power.
- Storage for produced Resin.
- A safe route back to base.
Farming steps
- Leave the base along a surface route you can easily retrace.
- Use the Terrain Tool to collect soil into canisters as you travel.
- Return to the base before extending the loop beyond your reliable oxygen supply.
- Load the soil canisters into the Soil Centrifuge.
- Select Resin from the centrifuge’s listed outputs.
- Run the conversion and unload the Resin into nearby storage.
- Move the Resin to printers when the next construction or crafting task needs it.
- Keep the route close enough to base that soil collection does not become a separate expedition.
- Store the Resin beside the equipment that will use it, but retain a small reserve for later building.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the soil-gathering and centrifuge cycle whenever you need more Resin. The conversion uses soil, so each additional batch requires another collection loop.
Common mistakes
- Trying to process without filled soil canisters: collect soil first and bring it to the centrifuge.
- Selecting another listed output by mistake: confirm Resin is the active choice before running the batch.
- Filling storage with excess Resin: stop when you have enough for the builds you plan to make.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the Resin stock covers your current printer needs and reserve. Switch to direct collection if a nearby deposit is easier to reach than another soil loop.
