Resin is a listed Soil Centrifuge output, giving you a repeatable way to produce it from collected soil.

Use a short safe route to gather soil, then process it into Resin at your base. This is useful when nearby Resin deposits are inconvenient or you want a predictable base-side conversion. The centrifuge consumes canistered soil, so keep the collection and processing steps together and store the finished Resin beside the printers or other equipment that will use it.
Repeat the soil-gathering and centrifuge cycle whenever you need more Resin. The conversion uses soil, so each additional batch requires another collection loop.
Stop when the Resin stock covers your current printer needs and reserve. Switch to direct collection if a nearby deposit is easier to reach than another soil loop.
