WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Resource-Rich Sectors

Reachable asteroid sectors whose map material display includes your target and whose operation area score suits your miner.

Before you go

Farming steps

  1. Choose one target ore and inspect reachable sectors that list it on the galaxy map.
  2. Shortlist areas with a manageable faction and threat situation for your miner.
  3. Scout a candidate sector before assigning the mining vessel when practical.
  4. Fit or retain a Mining Subsystem if available, then inspect the operation’s area score.
  5. Review cargo efficiency and the ship’s travel access; improve cargo or reposition the ship if needed.
  6. Run one Mining Operation and retrieve the ship when cargo or risk calls for it.
  7. Unload and process the ore at a Resource Depot, noting the result and the safety cost.
  8. Compare the run with another candidate before settling on a repeat route.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeatable as a selection-and-comparison loop; available sectors and operation results vary by galaxy and ship.

Common mistakes

  • Choosing solely by the highest score: include hostile risk and the miner’s defenses in the decision.
  • Assuming a sector contains the target because it is near a presumed boundary: verify the material display.
  • Comparing operations with different cargo setups: keep ship capacity consistent enough for a useful comparison.

When to stop or switch

Stop scouting once a sector offers an acceptable balance of target ore, safety, travel, and returned cargo; switch if the route’s risk or logistics deteriorate.
