WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Chapter 4, Temple of the Yellow Flower > Court of Illumination Keeper’s Shrine; check the two blue-robed Daoist monks on the stairs just before the Shrine.

Fruit of Dao is a Soak that extends the brief invincibility window after a dodge. Its target is more precise than a general Chapter 4 materials sweep: use the Court of Illumination Keeper’s Shrine in the Temple of the Yellow Flower and check the blue-robed Daoists on the stairs just before the shrine. Guides identify Fly-Whisk Daoists in this area as a source, but describe the Soak as a random drop rather than a guaranteed reward. Defeat the nearby group, inspect the drop/inventory, and rest at the Shrine to reset ordinary enemies for another attempt. Because the target is a Soak, the run has a specific build purpose: stop once Fruit of Dao appears and decide whether its dodge effect fits your Gourd setup. Do not keep farming after it is collected, and do not treat every monk kill as a guaranteed copy.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Reach the Temple of the Yellow Flower in Chapter 4 and activate the Court of Illumination Keeper’s Shrine.
  • Prepare a combat setup that can defeat the nearby Daoists without spending more healing than the attempt is worth.
  • Leave enough Gourd uses or healing resources to return safely to the Shrine between attempts.
  1. Fast-travel to the Court of Illumination Keeper’s Shrine and rest so nearby ordinary enemies are reset.
  2. From the Shrine, look along the stairs just before it for the two blue-robed Daoist monks.
  3. Engage those Daoists and defeat them; the target is associated with Daoist enemy drops in this Temple area.
  4. Check the ground and your Soak inventory for Fruit of Dao rather than assuming the drop is guaranteed.
  5. If it has not appeared, return to the Shrine and rest to respawn ordinary enemies.
  6. Repeat the same short approach and fight while the Soak remains a goal for your build.
  7. Once Fruit of Dao is collected, open the equipment menu and equip it in an available Soak slot if its dodge effect is useful.

Farming tips

  • Keep the loop limited to the Daoists beside the Shrine so travel time stays short; skip unrelated enemies unless they block the path.
  • Treat the item as a random drop. No source establishes a guaranteed drop after a fixed number of kills or a verified probability.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat the nearby Daoist clear, inventory check, and Keeper’s Shrine rest until Fruit of Dao appears. Ordinary enemies reset at a Shrine, but the Soak drop is not guaranteed per attempt.

Common mistakes

  • Assuming the first kill guarantees Fruit of Dao; verify the drop and repeat only if the effect still matters to your build.
  • Running a broad Temple sweep for one enemy-linked Soak; use the Court of Illumination group to keep the target route compact.
  • Continuing after the Soak is in inventory; equip it or switch to another farming goal instead of chasing duplicates.

When to stop or switch

Stop as soon as Fruit of Dao is collected, or switch routes if the attempts become unsafe or the dodge effect no longer fits your build.
