WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Terminus Range Vault Key Fragment map markers, then the Arch of Origo and Primordial Guardian arena.
If you are looking for the Kaoson SMG, target Primordial Guardian Origo in the Terminus Range Primordial Vault. The route requires all three Terminus Range Vault Key Fragments before you can enter the Arch of Origo. Inside, clear the three enemy waves to reach the Guardian, then defeat it and check the boss reward. Origo’s shield-focused health makes shock or radiation a useful element choice; the boss spends much of the fight airborne, so bring a weapon that can track a mobile target. The Kaoson also belongs to the broad world loot pool, but Origo is the named encounter route. A dedicated-source attempt can still produce other drops, so inspect the reward rather than expecting a guaranteed Kaoson.
Collect the three Terminus Range Vault Key Fragments to open the Arch of Origo.
Bring ranged weapons suited to an airborne, shield-health boss; shock or radiation damage matches its documented weakness.
Open the Terminus Range map and collect each of its three Vault Key Fragments.
Travel to the Arch of Origo and interact with the vault entrance once the fragments are assembled.
Clear the first enemy wave and collect ammunition or other useful drops before advancing.
Complete the second and third waves, following the arena route to the final chamber.
Defeat Primordial Guardian Origo, using shock or radiation weapons against its shield and tracking it while airborne.
Collect and inspect the boss’s reward for the Kaoson.
If it did not drop, use the nearby Moxxi Big Encore machine to restart Origo’s encounter when its rematch option is available.
Farming tips
Origo’s all-shield health makes shock/radiation a better match than incendiary, corrosive, or cryo for this target.
The Kaoson also appears in the world pool, but Origo is the specific boss route covered here.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat Origo’s rematch through the nearby Moxxi machine when available and continue checking its drops; the Kaoson is not guaranteed on each kill. The three fragments are an access requirement, not a per-run consumable in the recorded route.
Common mistakes
Entering Terminus Range without collecting all three fragments leaves the Arch inaccessible; complete the region’s fragment markers first.
Using a melee-focused or slow projectile build against an airborne boss makes damage windows harder; favor reliable ranged tracking.
Assuming Origo guarantees Kaoson because it is the dedicated target; inspect each drop and repeat only if the item is still needed.
When to stop or switch
Stop when you have the Kaoson roll you want or when the rematch fee/time is better spent on another target.
