WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Factory Logistics

The roads, storage buildings and machines that link mine or farm output to its downstream consumer.

Before you go

Farming steps

  1. Identify the producer’s output and the intended consumer’s accepted input.
  2. Place or select a storage point that both the producer’s delivery vehicles and consumer can reach.
  3. Connect the relevant transport route between producer, storage and consumer.
  4. Enable truck import or other required logistics behavior where the building supports it.
  5. Check that the receiving storage is not full and that the consumer is able to accept the material.
  6. Inspect idle vehicle and machine states to find missing routes, assignments or inputs.
  7. Only add production or transport capacity after the existing path is moving material as intended.

Repeat, collect and use

Review and extend the route whenever production, storage or consumer demand changes. The logistics setup is reusable; resource extraction and crop production themselves may have limits or input requirements.

Common mistakes

  • Adding more producers when the real blockage is full storage: clear or expand the destination first.
  • Connecting a material to a machine that does not accept it: verify the consumer’s input before laying out the route.
  • Treating idle vehicles as proof of a vehicle shortage: check routes, assignments, designations and capacity.

When to stop or switch

Stop expanding logistics once the intended output reaches its consumer reliably and buffers remain manageable; revisit the route when a new demand or bottleneck appears.
