Open new Depths dungeons with Davis
Davis at Home Base manages map hand-ins and the Depths destination menu.
Before you go
- Find a Depths map through the relevant story or NPC progression.
- Reach Home Base and speak with Davis.
- Bring a suitable build for the selected dungeon’s enemies and boss.
Farming steps
- Return to Home Base with the Depths map in your inventory.
- Speak with Davis and hand over the map when prompted.
- Choose Head to the Depths to open the destination list.
- Select the newly unlocked map by its exact name.
- Inside the dungeon, start at the central Mistle and identify the branches from the hub.
- Explore branches for their keys and defeat route minibosses as needed.
- Return to the center, unlock the boss path, and decide whether to clear the main encounter or leave with your collected items.
- Check where a map is found and its boss reward before making it your target; later maps have distinct gates and purposes.
- Rest at the central Mistle when you need to reset enemies, keeping in mind that defeated enemies revive.
Repeat, collect and use
Map delivery is a one-time unlock. Each destination can be revisited, but fixed items and boss rewards have different collection rules.
Common mistakes
- Trying to use the map directly from inventory: Davis controls Depths access.
- Taking every branch as mandatory for every purpose: follow the route keys needed to open the central gate, and choose optional branches based on your goal.
- Expecting the same reward across maps: select a dungeon whose recorded reward matches the material or progression goal.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the intended item or boss reward is collected, or return to Home Base to select another unlocked destination.
