Star Metal Meteorites
Frozen North around Skyfall Ridge and the area near Outcast Camp in the Exiled Lands.
Before you go
- Cold protection and supplies appropriate for travel in the Frozen North.
- Explosive item suitable for breaking the meteorite shell.
- Pick for the exposed ore and enough inventory capacity to carry it.
Farming steps
- Travel to the Frozen North with cold protection and the equipment needed to return safely.
- Search around Skyfall Ridge and near Outcast Camp for fallen meteorites.
- When you locate one, check that you can safely work at the site before committing supplies.
- Use an explosive item to break the meteorite’s outer shell.
- Once the ore is exposed, mine it with your pick.
- Collect the Star Metal Ore and leave room for the trip back.
- At base, use the current Furnace recipe and ingredients to process the ore for your intended craft.
- Meteorite falls are variable, so treat this as a search area rather than a timed route.
- Bring the shell-breaking item before traveling; finding a meteorite without it can waste the expedition.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat when you need more Star Metal, but the appearance and location of meteorites are not a fixed farm cycle.
Common mistakes
- Trying to mine through the intact shell; break it with an explosive item first.
- Traveling without cold protection; prepare for the region before searching.
- Planning around a guaranteed meteor shower or fixed yield; search patiently and leave if the trip is no longer worthwhile.
When to stop or switch
Stop when you have enough ore for the next planned high-tier craft, or when your supplies run low without a meteorite in reach.
