Aloe Seed Loop
A Planter at a protected base, ideally convenient to your storage and crafting stations.
Before you go
- Aloe seeds gathered from a reliable wild supply.
- Planter and Compost Heap with the required fertilizer.
- Storage space to separate seeds, leaves, and finished healing supplies.
Farming steps
- Gather Aloe along the southern river and keep a starter quantity of seeds aside.
- At base, check the Planter interface for the current Aloe requirements.
- Prepare fertilizer in a Compost Heap and place it in the Planter with the seeds.
- Let the crop grow without removing its inputs prematurely.
- Collect the Aloe harvest when the Planter indicates it is ready.
- Keep the collected leaves for the Aloe healing recipes you currently use.
- Reserve any seeds returned or separately available so the next planting can continue.
- Secure seed stock before dedicating the entire supply to planting; the first planting is only useful if you can establish the loop.
- Keep a healing reserve instead of treating every harvest as surplus crafting material.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat planting when you have replacement seeds and fertilizer. This is a renewable loop only while those inputs can be replenished; it is not an instant or guaranteed yield.
Common mistakes
- Planting every seed at once; hold enough back to restart if the first crop does not provide replacement seed.
- Assuming wild leaves produce seeds in the same way as a crop harvest; track the two sources separately.
- Using all harvested Aloe on non-healing recipes; reserve leaves for the healing chain first.
When to stop or switch
Pause the garden once your healing reserve is comfortable, then restart when supplies fall or seed stock is replenished.
