Aging Barrel Artisan Goods

Finish compatible artisan products in an Aging Barrel when you want aged goods for a goal or sale.

PC / Global, current 1.x release
WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Farm artisan area; place the Aging Barrel indoors in a shed or cellar to receive its indoor speed bonus.

The Aging Barrel processes a defined group of artisan goods, including cheese, salted eggs, juice, pickles, non-black honey, coffee, beer, and sake. It is a finishing stage rather than a general-purpose processor: choose an accepted output, reserve anything needed in its current form, and collect the aged result when ready. Indoor placement in a shed or cellar gives the machine a speed bonus.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Farming progression to the Aging Barrel unlock
  • A compatible finished artisan product
  • Storage for goods waiting to be aged and collected
  1. Advance Farming until the Aging Barrel is available, then craft or place it using the recipe you have unlocked.
  2. Check the machine’s accepted inputs and select one of the compatible artisan goods.
  3. Compare the selected item with active offerings, requests, and collection needs before using it.
  4. Place the reserved surplus into the barrel.
  5. Put the machine indoors in a shed or cellar if you want the indoor production speed bonus.
  6. Check the barrel and collect the aged item when it is ready.
  7. Store the output for its goal or ship it if it is surplus.

Farming tips

  • Keep goods intended for aging separate from raw inputs and items reserved for progression.
  • Use the in-game accepted-input list; being an artisan good does not automatically make an item ageable.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat for compatible inputs while you have machine access and a supply of finished goods. The barrel is unlocked through progression, and it does not accept every artisan product.

Common mistakes

  • Loading an unsupported product: confirm that the barrel accepts the item first.
  • Aging the last copy needed for a bundle or request: reserve that copy before processing.
  • Expecting the indoor speed bonus outdoors: place the barrel inside a shed or cellar.

When to stop or switch

Stop aging when your target stock is ready or when a compatible product is needed in its current form for another goal.
