Mason Jar and Keg Routing

Choose the right artisan machine family for crops and other inputs so each batch produces the item you intend to use.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Farm artisan area arranged around Mason Jars and Kegs.

Mason Jars and Kegs make different product families. A Mason Jar handles crops and scavenged materials for outputs such as jam and pickles; a Keg handles products such as juice, beer, tea, coffee, and sake. Unlock the relevant station through Farming progression, verify its recipe before loading, and decide whether a compatible output belongs in an Aging Barrel before shipping it.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Farming level 3 for Mason Jar access or level 6 for Keg access
  • The relevant machine recipe and a placed station
  • Ingredients accepted by the selected station
  1. Check your Farming progression and identify whether your intended output calls for a jar or keg.
  2. Open the crafting information and confirm the machine recipe and materials before making a station.
  3. Check the station’s input list for the ingredient and output you want.
  4. Set aside ingredients needed for offerings, requests, or collection goals.
  5. Load an accepted crop or scavenged ingredient into a Mason Jar for a jar product such as jam or pickles.
  6. Load an accepted ingredient into a Keg for a keg product such as juice, beer, tea, coffee, or sake.
  7. Collect the finished product and check whether you should keep it, age it if compatible, or ship it.

Farming tips

  • Arrange machines by family so batches and finished goods are easy to track.
  • Verify each specific recipe in game; do not infer inputs from an ingredient’s name.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat either production loop while compatible ingredients and machine access are available. Mason Jar and Keg unlocks depend on Farming progression, and each station handles its own listed inputs.

Common mistakes

  • Using the wrong machine family: check whether the desired output is made by a jar or keg.
  • Processing the final copy needed for progression: reserve it before loading a machine.
  • Shipping a product intended for aging: check the Aging Barrel’s accepted inputs and your goals first.

When to stop or switch

Stop a batch when you have enough of the desired product or when remaining ingredients are needed for a bundle, request, or another recipe.
