Where to farm
Scarlet boulder in Azeos’ Wilderness, beyond the Great Wall.
Once you have the Automation Table and initial Drills, a discovered Scarlet boulder can run while you pursue other goals. Route raw ore or bars to storage, then check the system on return.
Great Wall access and a discovered Scarlet boulder.
Drills and power source.
Chest or conveyor collection route.
Smelter Kiln if processing ore at the site.
Find and mark a Scarlet boulder while exploring Azeos’ Wilderness; the map position is world-specific.
Craft or gather Drills and an Electricity Generator or Lever, then return to the marked site.
Place drills against the boulder and connect the power source.
Choose direct raw-ore pickup or build a conveyor route with a chest at the end.
If adding a Smelter Kiln and robot arms, confirm each handoff and leave room for both ore and bar storage.
Leave the site running while you explore or work at base, then return to collect output.
Smelt raw ore at base or keep bars from the automated chain for Scarlet crafting.
Farming tips
Favor adding Drills to a second boulder if your setup is limited; extra drills on one boulder give diminishing rate gains.
Keep a dedicated chest for this ore so you can see when the boulder’s finite supply has been collected.
Repeat, collect and use
One-time per boulder: each produces 1,800 ore total. Find another boulder for more Scarlet after depletion.
Common mistakes
Expecting a Scarlet boulder before obtaining Scarlet for initial Drills: hand-mine enough ore first.
Leaving a processor output full: check capacity and clear bars during visits.
Building belts without checking direction: orient the route toward the destination and test a short section.
When to stop or switch
Stop at the marked site when the boulder is exhausted or you have enough Scarlet for the next crafting objective; reclaim or repurpose equipment if useful.
