WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Dragon Aerie, beginning at its bonfire and following the lowered ladder and lizard route through the caves.
Dragon Aerie is a concentrated source of Twinkling Titanite from Crystal Lizards in Scholar. The edition’s bonfire ladder is lowered automatically, allowing you to work through the area backward or bypass part of it. Approach the lizards without breaking nearby eggs or attacking Guardian Dragons; they normally remain asleep unless provoked. A lizard’s materials are a one-cycle pickup, while a Bonfire Ascetic at the Aerie bonfire restores eligible lizard spawns and permanently increases the local intensity. Twinkling Titanite is used for special equipment, so identify the upgrade target before taking the risk of another cycle.
A weapon or ranged attack capable of quickly killing Crystal Lizards.
An Aged Feather or another safe way to return from the route.
Rest at the Dragon Aerie bonfire and use the automatically lowered ladder to reach the route.
Move through the caves carefully and locate Crystal Lizards before engaging Guardian Dragons.
Attack each lizard decisively, then collect its drops before moving onward.
Avoid striking dragons or disturbing nearby eggs; either action can wake Guardian Dragons.
Continue to other accessible lizard locations, watching footing on ledges and zip-line landings.
Return with the Aged Feather when finished and count the Twinkling Titanite collected.
For a new eligible lizard cycle, burn an Ascetic at the Dragon Aerie bonfire and repeat at the higher intensity.
Farming tips
The Scholar layout allows careful lizard approaches without fighting sleeping dragons; avoid the egg and dragon triggers.
Check the intended equipment’s remaining material requirement before spending an Ascetic, since it cannot be undone.
Repeat, collect and use
The lizards can be collected again after a Bonfire Ascetic resets eligible spawns. Each reset permanently increases Dragon Aerie’s bonfire intensity; the first cycle’s drops are limited.
Common mistakes
Breaking eggs or attacking a Guardian Dragon while trying to reach a lizard; leave both untouched for a quiet approach.
Expecting all item pickups to respawn with the Ascetic; Scholar has exceptions, so rely on eligible lizard spawns only.
Entering another cycle without accounting for stronger enemies; return to normal farming elsewhere if the increased intensity is unsafe.
When to stop or switch
Stop once you have enough Twinkling Titanite for the chosen special equipment or when a higher-intensity Aerie run is no longer dependable.
