Unlock the second Boss Stem Cell
A qualifying final boss route ending at Hand of the King, Queen, or Dracula’s Final Form with one BSC active.
Before you go
- Have earned the first BSC and activate it in the starting tube.
- Reach one of the qualifying final bosses.
- Do not use an Aspect during the run if pursuing the next BSC.
Farming steps
- At the starting tube, select exactly one active Boss Stem Cell.
- Choose a route that leads to a qualifying final boss you can defeat.
- Collect gear and upgrades while preserving enough health for the final biome.
- Reach the selected boss and learn its attack patterns during the fight.
- Defeat the boss without an Aspect active.
- Claim the newly awarded BSC progression after the victory.
- On a later run, return to the starting tube and activate the second cell to access two-BSC routes.
- The fifth BSC has a different requirement: defeat the Giant with four cells active.
- Plan the final route around a boss you know rather than taking an unfamiliar branch late in a run.
Repeat, collect and use
This is a one-time unlock. The qualifying victory awards the second BSC; activate it on later runs to use its difficulty and route gates.
Common mistakes
- Defeating the final boss with no BSC active; set one in the starting tube first.
- Using an Aspect while pursuing the next BSC; keep Aspects disabled for this unlock attempt.
- Expecting the new cell to activate automatically; set it in the starting tube on the next run.
When to stop or switch
Stop after the second BSC is awarded and activate it only when you are ready for the higher difficulty.
