WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Yellow minimap encounter dots in Outer Circle, Endless Desert or Darkmoor.
Chest encounters appear as yellow dots on the minimap and can add loot during Acts 1–3. Chests are optional route targets, so reach them when the trip is safe and useful. Their rewards vary with run progression and difficulty; a chest is not a promise of a specific item.
Check the minimap for yellow encounter markers while moving through the run.
Be able to leave the current enemy flow without being trapped or overwhelmed.
Start a run in the Act whose gear tier you want to pursue.
Check the minimap periodically for yellow encounter dots.
When a chest marker appears, judge whether the route is safe before changing direction.
Travel to the encounter while maintaining room to evade enemies.
Interact with the Chest or Ancient Chest encounter and collect the reward it provides.
Inspect the resulting item and keep it if it improves your current build; otherwise continue the run.
Farming tips
Higher Acts expose higher equipment tiers, so choose the realm that matches your gear goal.
Chest rewards are variable and depend on run progression and difficulty; avoid planning around a specific drop.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat in any Act 1–3 run where chest markers appear. Each encounter is an optional loot opportunity, not a guaranteed item farm or a permanent unlock.
Common mistakes
Crossing a dangerous area for a chest while low on survivability; skip it when the detour threatens the run.
Assuming every chest yields a desired rarity or unique; assess only the reward actually received.
Ignoring the minimap until late in the run; check it as you move so a safe route remains available.
When to stop or switch
Stop detouring for chests when the route is unsafe, or when the run’s gear needs are met and a boss checkpoint is the better use of your time.
