Where to farm
Industrial Sabotage mission node on the Mission Terminal, after completing the Spec Ops: Industrial Sabotage unlock assignment.
Industrial Sabotage is a combat-focused mission built around reaching and destroying the Caretaker, then recovering its Data Rack and extracting. It is useful for completing matching assignment missions and earning the normal mission payout; it does not guarantee a separate special drop. Batteries support the hacking pods that clear the route to the Caretaker, so prepare for the fight while completing those access steps.
Complete the Industrial Sabotage unlock assignment, available after Conquering Hoxxes IV.
Check the selected mission’s hazard and warning before launching.
Bring a combat-ready loadout and traversal tools for reaching cave objectives.
Coordinate a resupply plan with the team before activating the Caretaker.
Follow the facility markers to locate the batteries needed by the hacking pods.
Carry each battery to its indicated pod and defend the pod while it hacks; use the cleared route to advance toward the Caretaker.
Mine Nitra along the way and deposit it with Molly. Before starting the boss, agree where to place a resupply pod with room to fight around it.
When the team is ready, activate the Caretaker and keep moving to avoid its attacks.
During its shield phases, destroy the exposed tentacle defenses, then shoot the four eye panels when they open. Repeat as vulnerability windows return.
Revive teammates when the arena is safe and use resupplies as needed to keep damage on the boss.
After the Caretaker is defeated, collect the Data Rack it drops, carry it to the M.U.L.E., then call the Drop Pod and complete the extraction.
Farming tips
Use the battery and hacking-pod stages to mine Nitra and establish a safe resupply position before the boss encounter.
Spread out around the arena so one attack is less likely to catch several dwarves; watch for exposed eyes before spending heavy ammunition.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeatable whenever an Industrial Sabotage mission is available. A run grants normal mission rewards and advances an assignment only if that mission matches the active assignment; it does not provide guaranteed extra loot from the Caretaker.
Common mistakes
Treating batteries as keys to the Caretaker room skips the hacking-pod objective; power the marked pods and defend them through their hacks.
Firing at a closed eye or ignoring active tentacle defenses wastes ammunition; clear the defenses and target eyes during their open windows.
Leaving after the boss fight bypasses required Data Rack recovery and extraction; carry the rack to the M.U.L.E. and finish the mission.
When to stop or switch
Stop once the Data Rack is deposited and the team has extracted. If the encounter is too costly at the chosen hazard, switch to a lower hazard or another assignment mission.
