Where to farm
Forge terminal on the Space Rig, followed by the equipment terminal.
A Matrix Core in inventory is a recipe waiting to be processed. Use the Space Rig Forge to spend the listed crafting minerals and turn eligible cores into weapon Overclocks; then select the Overclock for its weapon at the equipment terminal. This is a conversion activity, so the supply of usable cores and minerals sets the pace.
Promote a Dwarf to access the Forge and related endgame systems.
Own an Infused Matrix Core with a weapon Overclock available to forge.
Have the crafting minerals shown on the selected recipe.
Open the Forge and inspect the available cores and their displayed recipes.
Choose a weapon Overclock core whose weapon you use or want to build around.
Check the mineral cost against your inventory before committing.
Forge the core and collect the resulting Overclock.
Open the equipment terminal and select the matching class and weapon.
Choose the forged Overclock in the weapon’s Overclock slot and save the loadout.
If the recipe is unaffordable, note the missing mineral and plan a mission or trade to address it.
Farming tips
Prioritize recipes for weapons you actually bring; unlocking an option does not require equipping it immediately.
A Blank Matrix Core needs a machine event infusion before it becomes a specific Overclock or cosmetic core.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat for each eligible core you have collected, subject to your core and mineral inventory. Forging itself does not generate new cores.
Common mistakes
Expecting a Blank Matrix Core to appear as a weapon recipe bypasses its infusion step; activate a machine event with the required key.
Spending minerals without checking the displayed cost can delay another upgrade; compare the recipe to your current bottleneck first.
Forgetting to equip the forged result leaves the weapon unchanged; install it at the equipment terminal.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the desired collected cores are forged or you reach a mineral shortage. Return after earning more cores or mining the missing crafting materials.
