Power and activity progression

Raise Power through natural activity drops

Activity drops with higher listed Power help returning players catch up toward the unchanged 550 cap.

PC / Global, including Monument of Triumph (Update 9.7.0)
WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Portal and Director activities displaying gear rewards above your current Power.

Use activity reward previews to find gear that can raise your Power, then equip stronger drops and repeat. Monument of Triumph did not raise the 550 Power cap. Reward tiers depend on the activity and your character, so choose based on the Power value shown in game rather than a remembered route. The loop ends when the cap is reached or available activities stop showing an increase. Compare each drop with your equipped gear before deciding whether to keep farming Power. This method suits returning players who want to progress through ordinary activity rewards without relying on an assumed fixed sequence.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • A character whose Power can be improved by available gear drops.
  • Access to activities showing gear rewards in their preview.
  • Inventory space to collect and compare drops.
  1. Open activity reward previews and note which list gear above your current Power.
  2. Choose an activity you can complete reliably with a useful listed reward.
  3. Launch and finish its objective or challenge.
  4. Collect gear and compare its Power to your current equipment.
  5. Equip higher-Power items as appropriate.
  6. Inspect activity previews again for another possible increase.
  7. Repeat with an eligible activity while rewards can still raise Power.

Farming tips

  • The cap remains 550; check the preview to see whether a run can improve your gear.
  • Choose content you can finish consistently instead of pursuing an inaccessible reward.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat while available activities list higher-Power gear. Catch-up ends at the cap or when no eligible preview offers an increase.

Common mistakes

  • Assuming every activity raises Power; inspect the reward preview first.
  • Comparing drops inconsistently; check your current gear state each time.
  • Expecting the Monument feature to raise the cap; it remains 550.

When to stop or switch

Stop at 550 Power or when previews no longer show an increase; switch to weapon rolls, Triumphs, or another goal.
