Portal activity nodes and Vanguard Alerts in the Director.

Use the Portal’s weekly challenge panels to choose a defined activity goal that fits your Power and fireteam. Challenge activities and payouts can vary, so read the active objective and reward before launching. Finish the named activity, verify that its tracker advanced, and claim the payout. The challenge itself is limited to its displayed conditions; once claimed, switch to another listed objective unless you have a separate reason to keep playing that activity. This route is useful when you want a concrete target and a reward tied to the same session.

How to farm

Before you go

  • Access to the Portal in the Director.
  • Access to the activity required by the chosen challenge.
  • A fireteam suited to the activity and difficulty shown.
  1. Open Vanguard Alerts and read the current weekly activity and challenge details.
  2. Compare the stated objective and reward with the activity preview.
  3. Choose a mode and difficulty your group can complete reliably.
  4. Launch the named activity and follow its displayed objectives.
  5. Check challenge progress after the activity ends.
  6. Claim the completed challenge reward from its panel.
  7. Review other weekly objectives before starting another run.

Farming tips

  • Compare reward previews before committing to a run.
  • Choose higher difficulty only when its displayed payout is useful and manageable.

Repeat, collect and use

Weekly challenges are limited by their displayed objectives and refresh. Repeat only for unfinished progress or another listed reward.

Common mistakes

  • Launching a similar but unlisted activity; follow the named objective.
  • Leaving a completed reward unclaimed; check the challenge panel afterward.
  • Assuming difficulty changes payouts in a specific way; read the live reward panel.

When to stop or switch

Stop when the desired weekly reward is claimed, then switch to another active challenge.
