Before you go
- Torment I or higher for Hoard claims.
- The relevant Lair Key for the selected boss’s Hoard.
- A desired Unique confirmed in that boss’s current pool.
Farming steps
- Open the map and inspect the Lair Boss entries and Unique pools.
- Confirm the item you want appears in the selected boss’s current pool.
- Check your inventory for the matching Hoard key and confirm Torment eligibility.
- Travel to the lair and progress through the encounter to the boss.
- Defeat the boss using a build suited to the fight and difficulty.
- Use the key on its Hoard and inspect the reward for your target.
- In group play, each player needs their own key to claim a Hoard.
- Keep a short target list so you can change bosses when your build needs change.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the boss and Hoard loop while you have keys and the target remains useful. The Unique is not guaranteed per attempt; replenish keys through endgame activities.
Common mistakes
- Farming a boss whose pool excludes the item: verify its current preview first.
- Using a key as an entry item: defeat the boss, then open the Hoard.
- Expecting every kill to drop the target: continue only while more attempts fit your goal and key supply.
When to stop or switch
Stop when you obtain the Unique or your remaining keys are better saved; farm another boss or return to key-producing activities.
