Before you go
- Mining Licence Level One.
- Pickaxe in usable condition.
- Stone Grinder and inventory space for stones and processed ore.
Farming steps
- Purchase Mining Licence Level One from Fletch.
- Carry a Pickaxe and travel through accessible island biomes looking for Shiny Stones.
- Mine each visible stone with the Pickaxe.
- Collect the mined stones rather than leaving them behind.
- Return to the Stone Grinder and process the stones.
- Collect the Tin or Copper Ore produced.
- Store ore for tool or vehicle upgrades and repeat the surface search when more is needed.
- Check more than one biome instead of assuming the deposits are limited to the coast.
- Process stones before estimating how much finished ore you have.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the search, mining, and grinding loop whenever surface Shiny Stones are available. This is a renewable activity tied to finding nodes, not a one-time deposit route.
Common mistakes
- Mining without the required license or tool blocks the basic route; unlock Mining Licence Level One and carry a Pickaxe.
- Treating mined stone as finished ore leads to wrong material counts; use a Stone Grinder.
- Searching only one shoreline can miss deposits elsewhere; sweep available biomes.
When to stop or switch
Stop when you have processed enough Tin and Copper for your current crafting goal or when inventory is full. Resume on another surface search when supplies are needed.
