Farming steps
- Walk accessible bushland and forest trails, checking visible bushes as you go.
- Identify Bush Lime plants and other forage you want to collect.
- Use the appropriate gathering interaction or tool on ripe plants.
- Collect each item and keep track of storage space.
- Return to town or your base with the gathered haul.
- Cook or store useful limes for recipes and energy, and sell only unwanted surplus.
- Revisit the areas during later outings to collect forage that has returned.
- Gather as part of an existing travel route so the trip also serves exploration or errands.
- Keep forage separate from crop seeds and planted fruit; they use different collection methods.
Repeat, collect and use
Foraging is a recurring collection activity. Revisit suitable areas on later trips for available plants; it is not a guaranteed fixed harvest route.
Common mistakes
- Uprooting a plant you want to remain can remove the source; harvest the visible produce without digging it up.
- Filling inventory before leaving prevents collecting later finds; check space during the walk.
- Assuming bush forage must be replanted adds unnecessary work; gather from existing plants.
When to stop or switch
Stop when your inventory is full or you have enough forage for the planned meal, recipe, or sale. Resume on another outing when supplies run low.
