Where to farm

Around garden plots after harvesting mature crops in the Valley.

The dependable route is to grow and harvest crops, then pick up Rich Soil when it appears around the field. It is an occasional drop rather than something planted directly, so plan for repeated harvests if you need more. Keep the material in storage until you know which recipe or quest needs it. If you plan to craft with it, check the current recipe list before spending your stock.

How to farm

Before you go

Have seeds and plots available for a crop harvest.
Have inventory capacity to collect an occasional extra material.
Use a crafting station if you plan to process the material.

Plant a crop in any unlocked Valley biome and tend it through growth.
Harvest mature crops from the field.
Scan around the harvested plots for visible Rich Soil.
Pick up each Rich Soil mound that appears.
Store the material separately from crops while you decide its use.
At a crafting station, check available recipes and use only the amount your chosen item requires.

Farming tips

Keep Rich Soil rather than discarding it; it can be used in crafting, including a Miracle Growth Elixir recipe.
Grow crops you already need so Rich Soil collection complements useful harvests.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat the crop harvest cycle; Rich Soil is an occasional drop, so the amount collected is not fixed per harvest.

Common mistakes

Expecting every crop to produce Rich Soil can leave a target short; continue harvesting as needed.
Discarding the material removes a crafting option; store it until you confirm your use.
Crafting without checking the current ingredient list risks using stock incorrectly; verify the recipe at the station.
