WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Mine Boulders for Rocks and Gold

Rocky biomes with unmined boulders, especially those showing gold-bearing seams.

Before you go

Farming steps

  1. Travel to rocky ground and look for boulders that have not already been mined.
  2. Inspect each boulder and prioritize those with a visible gold-bearing seam if gold is your goal.
  3. Mine one boulder at a time with the Pickaxe.
  4. Collect the rocks, flint, and any gold that falls from the boulder.
  5. Check your inventory before moving to the next boulder so you do not lose track of your carrying capacity.
  6. Mark or remember the remaining boulders as a future gathering route.
  7. Return to camp and store the collected materials for building and crafting.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat on unmined boulders elsewhere or on remaining sites. Each mined boulder is depleted, so this is not a renewable farm at a cleared location.

Common mistakes

  • Assuming every boulder yields gold: target visible gold-bearing seams and collect whatever each boulder provides.
  • Mining without pack space: make room before starting so useful drops are not left behind.
  • Returning to an exhausted site expecting new boulders: locate unmined boulders for the next run.

When to stop or switch

Stop when you have enough materials for the current build or the nearby boulders are depleted. Switch to another rocky area when you need another haul.
